The product balance for any product recognizes that the sum of output at basic prices plus imports plus trade and transport margins plus taxes on products less subsidies on products is equal to the sum of intermediate consumption, final consumption and capital formation, all expressed at purchasers’ prices, plus exports (§ 15.5). http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/ramon/statmanuals/files/SNA2008.pdf
