Definition: Disclosure by response knowledge

Category: Statistical methodologies

This is disclosure resulting from the knowledge that a person was participating in a particular survey. If an intruder knows that a specific individual has participated in the survey, and that consequently his or her data are in the data set, identification and disclosure can be accomplished more easily. http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/ramon/statmanuals/files/SDC_Handbook.pdf
