Definition: Late reporter
Business statistics
With reference to the use of administrative data for statistical purposes, an administrative unit that submitted a statement (e.g. VAT return, social security declaration, etc.) too late – even if meeting the set deadline – to make its data usable to produce preliminary estimates.
Late reporters’ data are used to produce revised estimates.
