Definition: Final energy consumption – Domestic aviation (Code B_101932)
Final energy consumption – Domestic aviation covers the quantities of aviation fuels delivered to aircraft for domestic aviation – commercial, private, agricultural, etc. Part of NACE Division 51. It includes fuel used for purposes other than flying, e.g. bench testing of engines.
The domestic/international split is determined on the basis of departure and landing locations and not by the nationality of the airline.
It excludes fuels used by airlines for their road vehicles (included in the Transport sector – Not elsewhere specified) and military use of aviation fuels (included in the Other sector – Not elsewhere specified).
