Definition: Independent waste water collecting system

Individual private systems and operations in place to evacuate and collect domestic and other wastewater in cases where an urban collecting system is not available or not justified because it would either produce no environmental benefit or involve excessive cost. This includes in particular the transport of wastewater to treatment plants by means of trucks.
