Definition: Mini biological treatment plants (independent secondary waste water treatment)

Because of the more complicated process, mini biological treatment plants are often applied in semi-collective treatment and not as individual treatment. Semi-collective treatment is treatment of the waste water of a group of houses with a total load between 10 and 50 P.E. This type of treatment plants includes Biorotor, submerged bed, trickling or biological filter, activated sludge system and anaerobic treatment system.
