Definition: Simplification threshold

The simplification threshold [is a threshold] below which only data on 'product', 'partner Member State' and 'value' are required. From 1 January 2001, only the ten most important subheadings in terms of value of the CN need be distinguished.This threshold is applied in France and Luxembourg only.
