Definition: Taxes resulting from multiple exchange rates

[Taxes on imports] Taxes resulting from multiple exchange rates consist of implicit taxes resulting from the operation of an official system of multiple exchange rates by the central bank or other official agency.

[Export taxes] Taxes resulting from multiple exchange rates consist of implicit taxes on exports resulting from the operation of an official system of multiple exchange rates.

This definition is used both in SNA 1993 (§ 7.67 and 7.68) and in SNA 2008 (§ 7.94 and 7.95).
