Definition: Organic processor

Agriculture

Any natural or legal person who preserves and/or processes organic agricultural produce (including slaughter and butchering of livestock) following the rules of the Council Regulation (EEC) N°2092/91 on organic farming. The packaging and libelling of organic products is also considered as processing.
